Tegucigalpa

This orphanage, located in downtown Tegucigalpa, has 30 to 60 boys, 12-18 years old. They are orphaned, abandoned, or are street boys who have been picked up and placed in this facility for crimes such as street wandering, glue sniffing, shop lifting, or stealing. There is one Orphan Helpers staff member at this center.  He provides basic education, sports, craft classes, personal counseling, and haircuts. Each morning he leads a group devotional with the boys and offers discipleship classes in the afternoons.
