Thank you to all who attended the 2008 Harvest of Hope and joined us in celebrating God’s miracles in the lives of the children we serve. It is people like you who remind these children that they have not been forgotten.
This year’s Harvest of Hope was held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in early October. Hundreds of people came to support Orphan Helpers and our cause. Guests enjoyed a fantastic meal while hearing stories by guests including Ralph Torrech, board member and founder of the Hogar Torrech house; Miriam Andino, Hogar Torrech Director; and Greg Garrett, our founder. Attendees were also serenaded by Laurie Gayle Stephenson, celebrated Broadway star, who sang a variety of popular Christian and Broadway songs.
Harvest of Hope is Orphan Helpers’ major fundraising initiative. In its fourth year, the event raised over $127,000 to help facilitate programs for our 12 centers throughout Central America.
